McDonald’s – Romanian Weeks
For the 5th consecutive year, McDonald’s continues the local relevance direction, bringing to the attention of consumers the recipes specific to the Romanian cuisine, all of which form a genuine and varied Romanian menu. This year the offer consists of: Chicken drumsticks , Oltenian sausages, Mixed salad and Sweet cheese & raisins desert.
Bride-napping, the tradition of snatching the bride from under the groom’s nose with the wedding party in full swing, it’s one of Romania’s more colourful wedding customs.
The bride is taken away in a “fake” abduction by friends and driven to a nice place (could be outdoors or indoors, the idea is to be a fun place, where the bride can relax), while the “kidnappers” negotiate by phone, working out the details of the payoff. It’s all harmless theatrics meant to add fun to the nuptials.
The bride doesn’t have time to fully enjoy the meal at her own wedding. This is a known fact. She is always too busy to entertain the guests and make sure that they feel ok. That is why the “kidnappers” thought it will be a great idea to take the bride to a McDonald’s restaurant, so that she can eat some traditional Romanian food and relax a little from all the fuss.
